Step Mamma Blues?

Hello everyone out there in blog land. My oldest step-son had his senior day at his soccer game. I was so excited that he wanted his dad to be there. They have had a not so good relationship thanks to our step son's mom, who has discouraged the relationship between them. My husband adopted him when he was 3 years old and then they divorced within the year of his adoption. So, we arrive at the game and set down. At half time my husband goes over to our step son and they take pictures. I felt like the 3rd wheel asking to take a picture with him and then went back to my seat, while my husband and his ex-wife walk with him and take pictures, while the announcer says " here is (step son) with his dad (Tray Webb) and mom (Hillary - no last name) which made it look like they were together. So I can imagine that throughout the boy's lives (there are 2 more coming up) and my girls, there will be these issues with the ex's and me or my husband feeling left out. I guess it's just part of the relationship I am in. I don't think I have to like it though.
